Hi all, it’s been a while since I’ve type a blog post due to massive workload at the moment (don’t get me wrong, I love my job ;)). But there was a lot happening in the last month. Let’s kick-off with the Nutanix .NEXT 2025 event in Washington last may.
I always love the .Next events. It is that time of the year where I see my brothers (and my sister) fellow NTCs again to have fun, sharing thoughts and learning new things. It started in the airport already where there was a little competition between Kim Mount (England) and me who was first through customs 😉 The Dutchies won 😛

That evening at the bar I had a beer with Brad and Drew (United States) and it, just like all other times, was all fun again

Then the event started and there where a lot of announcements here is the recap:
- Omnissa Horizon for Nutanix AHV:
- No words on this. This is a major thing and will bring a lot of new customers onto the AHV hypervisor. I have a lot of Nutanix customers running Nutanix on ESXi. They are paying for the VMWare layer and this will reduce their cost considerably. Great work Nutanix and Omnissa.

- Multi-Cluster Citrix VDI support:
- Awesome, so we can finally attach the Citrix backend against Prism Central for multi-cluster image management. Bummer it is still only for Citrix Cloud and not on-premises deployments. Citrix if you are reading this, please please pretty please make this work for the on-premises deployments as well.
- Nutanix AO with “Agentic AI”
- Euhh I’m not (yet) into this AI thingy 😉 I should do more with it. Maybe a blogpost te learn myself and take you (readers) with with me in the learning 🙂
- Nutanix and Pure Storage partnering:
- This is great, we can use external storage (pure storage) on our Nutanix HCI environment. Pretty awesome. And this will bring more opportunities for existing Pure Storage customers to onboard Nutanix.
- NCP with Dell PowerFlex
- Yes, another external storage provider 🙂 We are getting more and more companies into the Nutanix ecosystem. In this case it is the Dell PowerFlex solution. So Dell storage with Nutanix compute nodes. Nice nice.

- Nutanix NC2 for Google Cloud;
- Nothing more to say, just another hyperscaler who is delivering the NC2 clusters 🙂 AWESOME job Google and Nutanix 🙂
- Air-Gapped enviroments:
- Nutanix Central, Nutanix Data Lens and Nutanix NCM Cost Governance on-premises.
- YES 🙂 Was wating for this. I’m working for verry large customers who are air-gapped (Dark Site eg no internet connection) and this will bring more and more features into the datacenter.

- Simplicity at Scale:
- Zero Touch Framework:
- Wow, I-WANNA-PLAY. This is really really nice. Zero touch framework to deploy clusters with ease and at scale.
- Multi-cluster LCM:
- Open your on-premises Nutanix Central –> navigate to you country –> select all clusters –> upgrade firmware –> have a beer.
- Zero Touch Framework:

On the second day we had our Campions lunch with Rajiv Ramaswami (CEO), Thomas Cornely (SVP Product Management) and Jason Longpre (VP Support) where we (the NTC’s) could ask questions. To bad there was an extra group in the room which asked question about support and so the whole vibe went into this support thingy. But I’m certain we getting another change later this year 😉
BUT, then there was our leader Angelo on stage with three awards:
- Nutanix Community Excellence
- Nutanix NTC Storyteller
- Nutanix User Group Champion
The Nutanix NTC Storyteller was won by one of my 2 French NTC friends Julien Dummer (https://juliendumur.fr/) which he won because he has an amazing blog out Nutanix and all related products.
The Nutanix User Group Champion was won by Kevin Kimball for his great work in the Nutanix User Groups.
And then there was this Nutanix Community Excellence….. It was won by… me… Whoop.

Hereby the video 😉 (sorry for the vertical filming syndrome)
The last day I got to present a session myself:

To be honest, I was a little bit nervous 😉 But it went well and I received a lot of positive feedback.
Well as I always say, just doing what I love. And Angelo, see you next time 😉
