My Two Days at Nutanix HQ: NTC Tech Connect

As a Nutanix Technology Champion (NTC) we have some perks. One of them is to come over to the Nutanix HQ in San Jose (California) for the NTC Tech Connect days. During these days we are hearing from the product teams about the roadmaps and some in-depth information. This year the event was hold on 21 and 22 October. As most of the content is NDA I can only share the agenda and some awesome pictures from the event.

I plannend to go with my two French NTC friends Julien Dumur and Maroane Boutayeb to fly from Amsterdam to San Francisco. Unfortunately Maroane had some unforeseen family business so he needed to cancel his journey together with us. So it was only Julien and my on the long trip (10,5 hour flight). We landed on Sunday 20th October and we meet all other NTC’s during the evening in an “Arcade-Bar”. As you all now I’m a huge pinball fan so I had the time of my life already 😉

Day 1 Highlights

We kicked off with a session by Rajiv Ramaswami, the CEO of Nutanix, who gave us an overview of all things Nutanix followed by a Q&A session.

Next up, we had Ramachandran Varadharajan, Vijaay, and Pranav discussing the Nutanix Cloud Manager, providing us with some great insights and updates.

Following them, Deepak Goel took the stage to talk about the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform — this was super informational for me.

We also had Ahmad Elalay giving a talk on DBaaS in Hybrid Multicloud, focusing on the freedom to run databases across on-premises and cloud environments.

Lastly, Srinath wrapped up the day with a session on Nutanix Central.

Day 2 Highlights

Day two started with Aniket Daptari and Swaminathan Sankar delving into Nutanix Flow.

Then came Ramesh VelurEunni talking about Nutanix Files, giving us a thorough understanding of its capabilities.

Finally, we had Gowtham Alluri and Mayur Sadavarte who talked about Nutanix Objects, closing the event with some really interesting perspectives on the product.

Overall, the Nutanix NTC Tech Connect was an incredible experience. I learned so much and had the opportunity to network with fellow NTC’s and Nutanix experts. Looking forward to the next one!

Big thanks to Angelo Luciano and his team for organizing this awesome event.
