Nutanix has released AOS 6.8 (Link) and Prism Central 2024.1(Link). With this new release there is a new option to deploy a “X-Small” Prism Central instance. This small deployment is for the following environments:
- With no more then 500 Virtual Machines;
- No more then 5 clusters;
- No more then 50 hosts/nodes;
- Do not need alle the extra’s Prism Central is offering 😉
As you can see in the screenshot the resources required are way less the small deployment, making is perfect for the smaller environments. (hence the x-small name ;)). The X-Small deployment can also scale-out to meet later requirements/growth in the environment.
