Where it all started: www.tyl.nl

This website did not start as jeroentielen.nl. It started in 2004 as www.tyl.nl, long before the first Nutanix post, and grew into the site you are reading now. The Wayback Machine kept the old versions, so here is the archaeology.

   Page Created By Tyl

The oldest capture. A table layout titled "Untitled Document", a big SITE IS NOG IN AANBOUW, and menu items for Motor, X-boX, Explorer, Foto-Album and Web-Mail. Peak 2004.

2. 2004 - 2007

   :: J-Style

Photo albums of car meets, track days and parties: Full Speed Rosmalen, Rally Sprint Amsterdam, a Japanese car meeting, a circuit day at Zandvoort. Plus a guestbook, downloads and a page with visitor statistics.

   Tyl, now on WordPress

"Welcome to the renewed site": race reports for the 2008 SuperCup 600 season of the KNMV, on a Suzuki GSX-R600 with number 33. Readers could subscribe to a monthly newsletter by sending an empty mail to a mailing list address.

4. January 2009

   Number 33 is gone

The licence website opened while Jeroen was on holiday in Egypt. He read the mail two days late, under a palm tree, and someone else had already taken 33. The 2009 season was ridden as number 36.

5. September 2011

   GPS lap files

A download page with lap recordings from a Qstarz BT-Q1000eX GPS logger, to compare your own laps against faster ones. Jeroen's own file: Assen, 1:52, Yamaha R1 2008.

6. 2013

   Jeroen Tielen's motor racing blog

The eighth SuperCup season, and next to racing an instructor at racing schools. Agenda and photo archives going back to 2006.

7. 2017

   Jeroen's Racing Site

Season twelve, now in the ProCup 600. In the Assen race of 6 May he qualified second with a 1:50.2 and crashed out early in the race when the front wheel slid away in the Strubben. The title of that report: "Podium of Jodium".

tyl.nl starts redirecting to www.jeroentielen.nl and the site carries on under that name. The race reports moved along: from 2018 they were written here.

Multisite archaeology Old archived URLs show that in 2017 www.jeroentielen.nl was site number 3 in a WordPress multisite, with tyl.nl as the main domain and a domain-mapping plugin doing the magic.

Still here The last 8 race reports, from 2018 and 2019, live on this blog: Race Verslagen.
